The Croc Reputation🐊
As I'm sure everyone has seen by now, Crocs have really made an appearance in the last few years! I'm curious to know how Crocs as a company, does such a good job portraying their image! I would consider myself as a "lagger" in trying new, trending products: So as a child, I would remember looking at my pair of Crocs shoes and be thinking, "these are the ugliest thing in the world" and I'm sure I wasn't the only person thinking that at the time. 'Dull' is the word I'd use in the early 2010s. Fast forward a few years, they were slowly making a comeback and there was no thought on my mind except how I still thought they were 'dull'. Then I noticed Crocs came out with more vibrant colors and tie-dye patterns, I still was a tough customer to persuade. All my mind could make sense of is how trendy they were at the time is because I thought they would just be considered 'fast fashion'. Roughly 1.5 half years ago, I bought my first crocs; I've never loved a pair of shoes more.
Crocs prides themselves on being comfortable and functional with everyone's different lifestyle. The reason why I believe they weren't fast fashion is solely on the reason that they turned 'dull' into 'impressionable' which is absolutely remarkably well done.
And the people LOVE it!! The Crocs community go nuts exclaiming how durable and functional they are all why also being so, very comfortable! I looked at what people had to say about the Crocs community on Reddit and the average person absolutely enjoyed how reliable Crocs have been over the years! There were a few people admitting that they still think they are 'ugly yet so comfortable'. Also, a big plus is that they cater to people with very wide feet.
The best part of Crocs and why they are so extremely successful is that they're trying to sell you a pair of shoes to really better describe you. They make Crocs so unique so every individual personality which I find so incredibly brilliant. They've created so many types of Crocs and they make it a purpose to sell you on you. Crocs make it a priority to be open-minded and collab with different designers to really make them less 'fugly' for the consumers. All while being sustainable!! That's right, I'll give you some time to pick your jaw off the floor haha.
I really feel that Crocs have really done such an incredible job introducing their fanbase by being fun and personalizing to every demographic. By customizing color of shoe and picking out different styles of 'Jibbitz' (I call them jiblets), Crocs have been really good about engaging customers and listening to customer needs and wants! Though Crocs isn't perfect, I feel like they spam you with an overwhelmingly ton of information through social media all so different ideas. I couldn't imagine the flood of emails I'd get from them every day with new style of crocs and announcements of different color drops.
Crocs is very much customer branded and people genuinely love companies that will bend over backwards for them. On their website, they have different tabs for shoes for kids, people who want sandals rather than crocs, crocs for people who work on their feet, featured crocs, and of course the customizable option. And still, they continue hearing people out on social media comments and bringing in new designers frequently.
If there was a point I was in charge of Crocs marketing team. My only critique I'd have on Crocs is to spam less. Let people breathe instead of overwhelming consumers with posts everyday. Other than that, I do think Crocs is doing something brilliant with how many shoe designs they're coming out with. The creativity is phenomenal. And I haven't even mentioned how organized Crocs website is which makes it so much easier on the customers!
I feel like I learned a lot from this assignment. There was a lot of learning in between last blog assignment and different formatting. But I did really enjoy running this assignment on Crocs because I feel like they're one of the companies that will go far (unlike what I thought when I was younger haha). Crocs is really for the people. Crocs is for you.
Till next time,
Sav:)
